A Williams Lake woman was sentenced to 11 months in jail and two years probation Tuesday in part for a trio of robberies in Prince George committed over a single day last month.

Christine Trisha Ivany, 22, received the term in Prince George provincial court after she was arrested Sept. 22 following robberies at a motel in the 1500 block of Highway 97 South at, a restaurant in the 400 block of Dominion Street and a business in the 1600 block of Third Ave.

Ivany was arrested after police received reports of a woman wearing a mask and a hoody and wielding an edged weapon entering the locations and demanding money.

Ivany also received the term for an Oct. 30 robbery in Williams Lake and was also sentenced to concurrent terms of nine months in jail for two counts of disguising her face to commit an offence.
