Don't expect a lot of sunny skies this Saturday (Nov. 23) in Prince George.

Showers are in the forecast for the morning and afternoon, according to Environment Canada, along with southerly winds starting at 50 km/h and increasing to 70.

Nighttime will see clouds and more showers, albeit reduced to a 40 per cent chance.

The winds will keep gusting at 60 km/h but are expected to slow down to 20 around midnight.

The high for today is 8 C and the low will be 1 C.

If you have plans to drive through the interior this weekend, Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Highway 97 between 100 Mile House and Clinton.

Freezing rain is expected this morning, turning into flurries by the early afternoon.

Commuters are being asked to check Drive BC for road conditions and updates.
