The temperature will be noticeably cooler today (Sept. 5) with a high of only 16 C as students head back to class. Fog will dissipate in the morning with clouds all day and a 30 per cent chance of showers late in the afternoon, says Environment Canada.
For tonight, it will remain cloudy with a 30 per cent of showers but clearing before morning. The low is 6 C.
A special air quality statement remains in effect for Prince George due to surrounding wildfires. Cooler weather and light rain have helped air quality improve drastically and will continue through the weekend and into next week. The Air Quality Health Index for today will be 3 (low risk).
