Retirement beckons SD57 principals

Two Prince George elementary school principals are retiring as of the end of the current school year, and that has created a some administrative shuffling in School District 57.

Two Prince George elementary school principals are retiring as of the end of the current school year, and that has created a some administrative shuffling in School District 57.

Dan Domes (Van Bien elementary) and Lynda Stoppler (Quinson elementary) have served notice they will be on permanent vacation beginning in July.

Replacing Domes at Van Bien will be Debbie Kaban, currently the principal at Pinewood elementary, while Deanna Hood will move up from her current vice-principal's post at Quinson to take over from Stoppler in the principal's office.

Rob Larson, now the principal at Blackburn elementary, will shift to Pinewood for the 2012-13 school year, and Lori Dennill, now principal at Morphee elementary in Mackenzie, will assume Larson's duties at Blackburn, starting Aug. 1.
