Prince George has an almost brand new school board

The preliminary results are in for the SD57 school board and show a new board with one incumbent

The results are rolling in for School District No. 57 (SD57) trustees with 22 of 27 polls reporting thus far. 

The preliminary results so far are as follows: 

Erica McLean - 5596

Craig Brennan- 4621

Betty Bekkering - 4348 (incumbent)

Gillian Burnett - 3964

Cory Antrim - 3531

Shar McCrory - 3106

Josh Silva - 2913

Milton Mahoney - 2818

Cathy Fortin - 2843

Damon Robinson - 2569

Bob Schroeder - 2466

Mike Rositano - 2264

Martin Taylor - 2165

The only polls left to report are from the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George in the Ferndale Community Hall and Bear Lake Community Hall. 

Voters were tasked with electing five trustees for Prince George and two additional seats are reserved for representatives from the rural communities of the Robson Valley and McBride. 

Rachael Webber and Bob Thompson are the only candidates for those respective categories and therefore win by acclamation.

Polls closed in the City of Prince George and the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George at 8  p.m. on General Voting Day, Saturday, Oct. 15.

Official election results will be declared by Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at 4 p.m.
