Residents remain skeptical about biosolids says Headrick

Red Rock residents remained skeptical and frustrated about a plan to spread biosolids over land at the end of Patterson Road, following a meeting with proponents on Wednesday night, said Fraser-Fort George Regional District director Bob Headrick.

The biggest news to come out of the meeting, which drew about 100 people to the community's fire hall and lasted more than three hours, was that as long as it meets provincial government standards it's going to go ahead, Headrick said.

"What did we end up with? Nothing," said Headrick, the director for electoral area D (Tabor Lake-Stone Creek). "What we ended up is that the city's going to dump it there because the owner of the property wanted it and the people of Red Rock can do nothing about it.

"They have no recourse, they have no way to say 'we don't want this.' It's going to be done."
