Repaving on roads disturbed by the construction of the downtown district energy system is expected to begin by the end of April.

Sections of Seventh Avenue have been unpaved since last year when the road was excavated to lay hot water lines for the downtown district energy system.

City utility engineering supervisor Kristy Brown said the city had been, "hoping to get a little more paving done before the end of season."

Repaving those sections of Seventh Avenue will be a priority once asphalt plants reopen for the summer paving season, Brown said.

The city has spent $7,100 grading and maintaining the gravel road section over the winter, she added.
