Prince George businesswoman Linda Rempel has won national recognition.
The Chambers of Commerce Group Insurance Plan is a nationwide organization providing a standard set of insurance services to the businesses connected to chambers of commerce and boards of trade from coast to coast. Rempel emerged this year, according to the organization, as one of the Top 100 program representatives in the nation.
Rempel, who works at Sun Life Financial, is the exclusive advisor in the Prince George area for the Chambers of Commerce Group Insurance Plan.
"Nationally, the Chambers Plan provides employee benefits programs to more than 30,000 small and medium sized businesses, members of 900 Chambers of Commerce and Boards of Trade that endorse the program," said Rempel. "The plan was introduced over 40 years ago to make group benefits available to smaller firms. Today the program offers competitive rates, outstanding guarantees, and many free, value-added features for participants, including Best Doctors diagnostic support services, and Business Assistance Service providing business owners access to accounting, legal and human resource experts."
Anyone who is a member of a Chamber of Commerce or Board of Trade can join this group insurance program, which allows for small- and medium-sized companies that advantage for their employees.
It can be joined by contacting the Chambers of Commerce Group Insurance Plan website, or in Prince George by contacting Rempel directly (office at 886 Vancouver Street, or phone 250-614-0585). An agent must first meet stringent qualifications in order to represent this national program, said a statement issued by the organization.
