Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern BC (BIGSNBC) is gearing up to host a new competition known as Winter Warm Up, that will determine who can make the best hot chocolate, with proceeds earmarked for the non-profit’s youth mentoring programs.
Since its initial announcement of six participating restaurants, three more are throwing their hats in the ring for the tasty title.
The competing establishments are as follows (in alphabetical order):
- Betulla Burning
- Browns Socialhouse
- Earls
- Makerie Craft and Coffee Bar
- Montana’s BBQ and Grill
- Nancy O's
- Oakroom Grill
- Rockford Grill
- White Spot
Starting at 9 a.m., residents can buy cups of cocoa in a drive-thru format in order to meet COVID-19 public health protocols, with the participant that brings in the most money winning the friendly competition.
