While most of the thousands of students throughout B.C. remain at home, some schools do remain open.

That means school speed zones remain in effect, as they would during a typical school day.

Glacier Media has heard complaints from people indicating some motorists have been speeding through those zones at high rates of speed.

The 30 km/hr speed limit is applicable from 7:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Some students of parents on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis, doctors, nurses, paramedics, health care workers, firefighters and police officers have been attending classrooms throughout April.
