Reminder: Prince George Outdoor Ice Oval closed for 33rd Iceman marathon

Close to 500 participants using oval for third leg of five-stage race

The 33rd Prince George Iceman is taking place this morning (Feb. 9).

One of its five stages is to skate 12 laps around Prince George's Outdoor Ice Oval.

As a result, the oval will be closed for public skating until 3 p.m. today.

The Iceman starts at 10 a.m., unless otherwise noted via its Facebook page, from the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club and finishing at the Prince George Aquatic Centre. 

A free shuttle is available for local residents, fans and spectators with the first bus leaving the pool at 8:20 a.m. and the last one leaving Caledonia at 12:15 p.m.
