The celebration after the ceremony will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43, 1116 Sixth Avenue, and every is welcome to attend.

To erect and take down 159 Canadian flags at the Civic Centre plaza, volunteers are needed.

Each flag identifies a fallen soldier from the conflict in Afghanistan, as well as Greg Matters, the local Afghanistan veteran who suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder leading up to his death after a confrontation with Prince George RCMP.

The flags will line the street from the former Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43 location to the Civic Plaza.
