A time to remember and honour the many aboriginal women who have been murdered or disappeared across Canada will be the Sisters in Spirit Vigil.
The vigil will be held outside the Prince George Court House from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 4 to remind the community about the issue and to support aboriginal women.
The event will offer a welcome by the Lheidli T'enneh Nation, prayer, circle smudging, silent vigil, speakers, open microphone and closing prayer.
The event is also supported by the Prince George RCMP and its victim services, Native Friendship Centre, Carrier Sekani Family Services, Kikino, John Howard Society, Phoenix House, Elizabeth Fry Society, AAWAC, and Amnesty International.
For more information call RCMP Victim Services at 250-561-3373 or Native Friendship Centre at 250-564-4324.
