The King's In is seeking a new home in the Carter light industrial area.
Council will consider Monday granting a temporary-use permit to allow the religious-themed bookstore, which is making way for a new hotel downtown, to set up shot at 1727 Nicholson St. The permit also allows for a church.
Staff is recommending council reject the permit over concern about possible incompatibility with adjacent uses.
However, at their May 28 meeting, council ignored a similar recommendation and granted a three-year extension to a temporary-use permit for the Redeemed Christian Church of God Faith Chapel for its church at 3850-18th Avenue, near the corner of Ogilvie Street.
