After being named the number one Relay for Life for the Canadian Cancer Society for the third year, the organization heads into its 25th year hoping to keep the same ranking.
The Prince George event, themed Stompin' Out Cancer For 25 Years, is the only 24-Hour Relay for Life in Canada and will once again see Northland Auto Group steer fundraising into high gear by offering participants a chance to win their choice of a brand new car.
For every $500 raised participants get entry into the draw where the winner will be announced at the conclusion of the relay set for May 13 and 14 at Masich Place stadium.
The winner will pick between a 2016 Dodge Dart SE, a 2017 Hyundai Elantra L or a 2017 Nissan Micra SV.
"The Northland Auto Group has been a proud supporter of the Relay For Life for several years and involved specifically as the fundraising incentive sponsor since 2013," said a statement from dealer principals Kyle Bachman and Peter Sia.
"The success of last year's relay incentive and fundraising efforts was nothing short of extraordinary, and we'd like to acknowledge this amazing community with a sincere thank you for their involvement.
"Your commitment and support for the Relay, year after year, is one of the main driving forces behind Northland's sponsorship."
To qualify for the vehicle draw, funds must be turned in online or in person by 4:30 p.m. on May 9.
Teams wishing to participate in the Prince George Relay for Life, sponsored by Allnorth Consultants for the fifth year in a row, are encouraged to register by April 28 at www.relayforlife.ca/princegeorge.
