Relay For Life a success

The Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life has raised over $360,000 and that number will rise because donations come in even after the event, said Erin Reynolds, Revenue Development Co-ordinator for the Canadian Cancer Society.

There were 1,500 registered walkers, but more were on site because unregistered people came and donated money to walk. The 18th annual Relay For Life was held this past weekend at Masich Place Stadium and was the only 24 hour relay event in Canada. Most places hold theirs for 12 hours.

Reynolds wants to extend "a big thank you" to all those involved. " Everyone makes the event as big as it is."
