The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George has lifted all evacuation order and alerts for the Upper Mud River and Chilako River areas.
The regional district issued an evacuation order for one property and evacuation alerts for 39 others along Upper Mud River Road on April 23 because of rising water levels on the Chilako River.
Water levels have subsided in the area, located approximately 25 kilometres south of Prince George, a statement issued by the district said on Friday. As of 3:30 p.m. on Friday, there were no evacuation orders or alerts in effect in the district.
"Though the risk of flooding has reduced in those areas, the regional district reminds residents throughout the region that rivers and streams can be unpredictable this time of year," the regional district statement said. "It’s important to understand the risks and be prepared for any emergency."
