Reflectors being handed out this morning in Prince George to boost pedestrian safety

ICBC, RCMP and community policing volunteers will be handing out free safety reflectors to pedestrians in Prince George this morning as part of a province-wide pedestrian safety campaign, urging pedestrians and drivers to stay safe as crashes with pedestrians spike at this time of year. Between October and January, pedestrian fatalities increase by an average of 54 per cent in B.C. as the weather changes and daylight hours decrease.

The reflectors will be handed out from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Pine Centre Mall and at the Prince George campus of CNC.
