A reduced holiday schedule for the Northern Health Connections bus service takes effect on Dec. 20.

People who require the Northern Health Connections bus to access non-emergency health care services away from their home communities should be aware a temporary reduced schedule will be in effect during the Christmas season.

Starting on Dec. 20, the buses will begin their last routes in 2022 and that will continue into the first week of January.

Demand from patients for the service usually tapers off during the week of Christmas and that allows staff to take holidays and conduct bus maintenance.

Regular routes will resume starting on Jan. 2

The Prince George-to-Vancouver bus leaves Dec. 20 and there will be no service on that route again until Jan. 3. Service from Vancouver to Prince George ends Dec. 22 and resumes Jan. 5.

The last bus of 2022 from Prince George bound for Prince Rupert leaves on Dec. 23 and service resumes Jan. 2. From Prince Rupert to Prince George the last bus is on Dec. 22 and that service resumes Jan. 4.

The last bus from P.G. to Fort St. John leaves on Dec. 22 and it resumes on Jan. 5.

The last bus from Valemount destined for Prince George is on Dec. 20, with resumption of service on Jan. 3.

The last scheduled service from Mackenzie to Prince George is on Dec. 21 and that resumes on Jan. 4.

Service on the Quesnel-to-Prince George and Burns Lake-to-Prince George routes ends Dec. 20 and resumes Jan. 3.

The NH Connections booking centre will be closed Dec.24 - 26, 31 and January 1, but will be open Dec. 27-30.
