Rescue personnel were called about 10 p.m. Monday to free a man pinned in his vehicle during a single vehicle accident near Bednesti Lake on Highway 16 West.
A 47-year-old Sicamous resident, attempting to avoid a deer, went off the road and down an embankment causing his 2007 Toyota Matrix to roll four times. He was taken to UHNBC with non-life threatening injuries. "His vehicle was a complete loss, and the driver's day just got worse when informed his insurance had expired 17 days ago," RCMP Stf. Sgt. Tom Bethune said in a news release.
