On Friday, 2011 at 5:04 a.m., the Prince George RCMP received a report of a break and enter to a
barn on Angus Road in the West Lake area. A 2005 Honda ATV valued at $7,800 and a 2008
Troybilt snowblower valued at $1,700 were stolen.
On Friday at 12:26 p.m., RCMP received a report of a stolen vehicle on the
1400 block of Diefenbaker Drive. The vehicle, a 1997 brown Dodge pickup, was stolen from the
driveway of the residence. In addition, a shed at the residence was broken into.
On Friday at approximately 7 p.m., the stolen truck was located by members of the RCMP Crime Reduction Team near Queensway. While fleeing from police, the driver of
the stolen vehicle ran a red light at the corner of Winnipeg Street and 13th Avenue, colliding with a
white Chevrolet Impala. Although there was significant damage to both vehicles, no serious injuries
were reported. The driver of the stolen truck fled the area on foot, but was located and arrested
nearby. Upon further investigation, the ATV stolen from Angus Road was located in the pickup.
Charges of possession of stolen property, dangerous driving, flight from police, hit and run,
breach of probation and possession of a controlled substance are being recommended
against Mitchell Paul Gagne, a 22 year old resident of Prince George. Gagne was held in custody
and is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on Monday.
On Friday at 2:11 p.m., RCMP received a report of an attempted stolen vehicle on the 600 block of Central Street. A red Ford pickup had the driver's side door lock removed and the ignition damaged. The owner of the vehicle was in a retail store for less than 25 minutes. Alcohol, cigarettes and a small amount of cash were taken.
On Friday at 3:28 p.m., RCMP received a report of a theft from motor vehicle that occurred on the 7600 block of St. Patrick Avenue. A purse and an iPod were taken. The purse was found near Domano Boulevard and Malaspina Avenue.
On Friday, at 9:20 p.m., RCMP received a report of a break and enter to a residence on the 1500 block of Fir Street. Suspect is described as a male, wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans. A quantity of alcohol was taken.
On Friday at 11:15 p.m., RCMP received a report of a stolen vehicle from the 2800 block of Andres Road. The vehicle, a 2008 Chevrolet pickup, was located by RCMP near 15th and central Street. A 16-year-old female and 20-year-old male were arrested for possession of stolen property and released for court on May 18.
On Saturday at 8:47 a.m., RCMP received a report of a stolen vehicle from the 3800 block of 5th Avenue. A 1995 green Ford Windstar van bearing BC licence plates EJS458 was taken from a parking lot. The van has not been recovered.
On Saturday at 8:52 a.m., the Prince George RCMP received a report of two thefts from motor
vehicles that occurred on the 1200 block of 3rd Avenue. A Honda Civic and a Honda CRV both had their windows smashed and personal items stolen.
On Saturday at 9:31 a.m., RCMP received a report of a stolen vehicle from the 4200 block of 15th Avenue. A black Toyota Tacoma pickup was taken sometime overnight from the residence. The truck was located unoccupied on Monday with damage to the front bumper.
On Sunday at 9:24 a.m., RCMP received a report of a stolen vehicle from the 1600 block of Rebman Crescent. The owner of the stolen Ford pick-p located the vehicle shortly after noticing it was missing. The vehicle was recovered approximately one block away and had damage to the door lock and ignition.
On Sunday, at 1:55 p.m., RCMP received a report of an attempted stolen vehicle from the 400 block of William Crescent. A 2000 Ford pick-up had the door lock removed and damage to the ignition.
On Sunday, at 2:50 p.m., RCMP received a report of a break and enter to a residence on the 3900 block of 1st Avenue. An Acer Desire laptop computer and a PSP handheld game console were taken.
On Sunday at 8:09 p.m., RCMP received a report of a break and enter to a residence on the 1700 block of 11th Avenue. Jewelry was taken.
