Prince George RCMP responded to a report of a woman being threatened with a firearm Thursday and ended up taking down a needle-ridden drug house in the 1800 block of Spruce Street.
With the help of the North District RCMP's emergency response team, they arrested 15 people.
A small amount of drugs, a .22 calibre rifle and stolen property - two bicycles and an air compressor - were among the recovered items.
And police figure about 10,000 used needles were strewn about the home.
"This crack shack is a flop house for people from outside our community," Prince George RCMP Insp. Brad Anderson said in a press release. "It's a place for them to stay while doing harm to themselves, our residents and our city."
Douglas Wayne Joseph, 30, was held overnight and on Friday, Crown counsel approved six mostly firearms-related charges against him. Joseph remains in custody.
RCMP also obtained an arrest warrant for another man, Michael Junior Aslin, 30, and Crown counsel approved nine charges against him, including pointing a firearm and two counts of assault with a weapon. Aslin remained at large as of Friday afternoon.
The 14 others arrested were released on documents to appear in court at a later date.
RCMP said they will also be seeking an arrest warrant for another 30-year-old man.
One of the items recovered had not been reported stolen, "making the investigation more difficult," RCMP said.
The public is being asked to report all stolen items and to record serial numbers.
"Doing so will assist police in returning the property and possibly recommending criminal charges against those in possession of the property," RCMP said.
