Prince George RCMP are asking for the public's help to track down a spray-paint wielding vandal responsible for dozens of tags around the city over the past few months.
The vandal, who goes by the tag OHGR - which police believe stands for ogre - "is currently the most prolific of the graffiti vandals in the Prince George area," RCMP said.
"In a short period of time, this person's criminal activity has caused damage to dozens and dozens of properties in our community worth thousands of dollars in damage," RCMP added.
"Police are confident that the damage done by this suspect stretches far past the incidents that have been located and recorded.
"Over the last few weeks this person has been increasingly active, leading the Prince George RCMP to ask for the public's help in identifying him."
RCMP believe the suspect is likely a male, between 15 and 30 years old, and uses the cover of darkness to avoid detection.
"He would be out most of the night, has multiple spray cans in a backpack and may have paint on his hands," RCMP added. "He seldom goes out to commit these acts alone."
In particular, RCMP are asking people who work at night - taxi drivers, security personnel, paramedics, truck drivers - to keep an eye out.
Anyone with information is asked to call is asked to call the Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
