Local RCMP added to the fun when a "police-themed" birthday party was held for a local boy.
North District RCMP Cpl. Dave Tyreman and Prince George RCMP Cst. Trevor Hurley paid a surprise visit to the boy's home on Sunday after Tyreman was given the heads up by the boy's mother.
A quick blast from the siren drew the tike, who turned four years old, and his friends out the door to see what was going on where they saw an RCMP cruiser.
Hurley, who had attended the National Aboriginal Day festivities at Lheidi T'enneh Memorial Park, was dressed in RCMP red serge while Tyreman was decked out in the RCMP's working order uniform. The birthday boy, meanwhile, was wearing a police uniform of his own.
Their appearance made for the "best party ever," according to the boy.
