Police are still looking for someone who was approaching children in Bear Lake over the long weekend.
On Aug. 4, Prince George RCMP received a report of an adult male approaching and speaking to children at the day use area of Crooked River provincial park.
Around 5 p.m., the man kept approaching the children to speak to them, ignoring at least one parent's request that he stop. Police didn't find the man and there was no one matching his description staying at the campground.
The man is described as approximately 25 to 35 years old and possibly of Asian descent. He had an athletic build, stood 5'6" to 5'8" tall and weighed about 220 lbs.
The man was wearing red boardshorts with white waist band and sunglasses. He wasn't wearing a shirt but and had no visible tattoos on his arms or chest. He had short dark hair, but no body hair.
"Although it does not appear the man committed any offence, investigators are concerned with his apparent aggressive and inappropriate behaviour and would like to identify and speak with him," according to a release from RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Craig Douglass.
Anyone who may have noticed this man at Crooked River provincial park on Aug. 4 is asked to contact Const. Renee Brand at 250561-3300. Police are also asking those who were at the park that day to check any photographs they may have taken and if they have any images of the man, to also contact Brand.
