RCMP investigate Sunday home invasion

One person was injured following an early morning home invasion. Shortly before 5:30 Sunday morning, Prince George RCMP responded to a call at home in the 200 block of Gillett Street.

One person was injured following an early morning home invasion.

Shortly before 5:30 Sunday morning, Prince George RCMP responded to a call at home in the 200 block of Gillett Street.

An uninjured female victim was located as well as a male victim suffering from a minor injury to his foot.

Investigators believe that two males brandishing weapons forcibly entered the resience and demanded money from the occupants. The suspects then fled on foot with a small amount of cash.

The first suspect was described as being 5'7" tall, with blonde hair and a 'baby face.' He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt. The second male was wearing all black clothing and a black mask.

The investigation in continuing into what police believe is a targeted attack.

This is the third home invasion reported in the last two months, with the first occurring Dec. 30, 2012 when four men entered a residence on Ogilvie Street South and demanded money and drugs from the two occupants.

Charges have been approved against three people connected to another incident at a Tamarack Street home on New Year's Day.
