RCMP are reminding the public as we transition to summer schedules, it's a good time to revisit safety precautions with children.
This includes:
- Always get permission before talking to someone they don't know
- Stay physically distant from people they don't know (good physical distancing practice now during COVID-19)
- Always get permission before they go anywhere with anyone for any reason
- Always get permission before they accept any gifts or treats from someone they don't know
- To not tell a stranger their name, address or phone number unless it is a uniformed police officer, firefighter or paramedic, who is there to help them
