Local Mounties are continuing to investigate the disappearance of Prince George teenager Colten Fleury.

Prince George RCMP was notified on May 4, 2018 that the 16-year-old was missing.

He was last seen on May 2 wearing a red hoodie and jeans and is not associated with any vehicle.

Police say extensive efforts to find Fleury, now 17, have been undertaken throughout B.C. and into other provinces, all without success.

The RCMP can confirm there has been no credible information to suggest that he ever left the Prince George area. Police also say no signs of foul play have surfaced during their investigation.

Fleury's primary source of communication was through the social media application, Facebook Messenger, according to RCMP. Police are asking anyone who had communication with Fleury leading up to or after May 2 to come forward and speak to investigators.

Further, anyone who knows someone who has communicated with Fleury is encouraged to contact police.

“We are convinced that persons in this community, particularly youth, were messaging Fleury right before he was last seen, and possibly afterwards,” says Cpl. Craig Douglass, spokesperson for the Prince George RCMP, in a press release.

If you have any information about Fleury's whereabouts, contact the Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.pgcrimestoppers.bc.ca.
