A man accused of murdering his wife 13 years ago told an undercover police officer he killed her in the back yard of their Prince George home and then disposed of her body in a swamp about an hour drive east of the city, a 10-person jury heard during testimony Wednesday.
The officer, who cannot be named due to a ban on publication, said Ratte told him and another undercover officer he shot Wendy Ratte, who went missing on Aug. 18, 1997, once in the head with a .22-calibre rifle in the yard between their house and their shed at about 9 a.m.
