We would like to shout out a huge thank you to Prince George's "Can Do Committee." They held their 14th Annual evening of Dinner and entertainment for people in the disability community of Prince George recently. This years "Accept the Challenge - Share the Rewards" event was a lot of fun; the CNC Dinner was great, and everyone enjoyed the live music, games, and prizes.
Raves go out to the organizers and volunteers that provided us with a really fun Saturday Nite out. We're looking forward to next years event ! Theresa and Brian Kile

Having taken my young son and wife to the movies on the weekend, which cost almost $40 before we got to the concession stand, it will be a long time before I go to the movies again. Absolutely ridiculous. The cost of popcorn and pop is also outrageous. You can tell that the cost of the popcorn to the theatre is next to nothing by the amount spilled on the floor. Ripoff!
It is embarrassing that our city council has the gall to give themselves a 30 per cent pay increase while at the same time increasing general city taxes by 4.2 per cent. If we were to get value for money they would be getting paid 30 per cent less.
