The Prince George Citizen, with help from volunteers, is poised to raise the bar of literacy in the region.
The goal of Raise-A-Reader Day on Sept. 29 is to promote reading and writing among the population - especially young people who face a difficult world without these skills.
Dedicated RAR volunteers like Isabel Fleck believe "if you can read there's nothing you can't do in this world, because reading gives you power and opens doors."
