If April showers bring May flowers, there hasn’t been much of the wet stuff this month to bring out the blooms.
That will change as the week goes on, with rain in the forecast for Prince George starting on Tuesday.
Sun will dominate the city Sunday and Monday with high of 15 C after an overnight low of 1 C. So get out an enjoy the weather if you can because it’s not going to last.
Periods of rain are in the forecast on Tuesday with the high reaching only 6 C and showers will continue at night with a low of 5 C. More rain is predicted for Wednesday and Thursday with highs of 9 C and 15 C, respectively, and lows of 5 C both days. The clouds will break up slightly on Friday with a 30 per cent chance of rain and a high of 15 C.
So far this month there have been just four days with measurable precipitation, but it wasn’t much. April 6 had 0.6 mm, April 7 brought 1.8 mm, there was just a trace on April 8 and 2.7 mm fell on April 9. The 5.3 mm total for the month is well below average. April days usually bring a 34 per cent chance of precipitation.
