A witch's brew of weather has hit the city.

Unseasonably warm weather and rain began early this afternoon while an Environment Canada alert remains in effect, warning of as much as 15 centimetres of snow this evening as an approaching Pacific front tracks inland.

"Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow," it said in a statement. "Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions."

An air quality advisory for Prince George was ended Saturday evening, four days after it was issued.
