The heavy rain Friday morning has forced closure of the city's sports fields and ball diamonds for the day.
City crews will monitor field conditions and intend to reopen fields first thing Saturday morning, city hall said. Masich Place Stadium remained open.
Residents interested in the status of a field or ball diamond are asked to:
- Contact the City Service Centre for further information by calling 3-1-1, or
- Subscribe to receive current information via email. Visit the City News & Notice subscribe webpage, select the 'Parks, Trails and Sports Fields' category, and be notified when City sports fields and ball diamonds reopen or close.
