Railway East Line history

The first in a series of fall lectures at Prince George Railway and Forestry Museum on October 5th, will focus on the historical East Line section along the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway.

Local historian, Kent Sedgwick will share his knowledge and expertise on the area east of Prince George and how it contributed to the settlement of Central British Columbia.

Kent Sedgwick has a Master's degree in geography, has taught at the College of New Caledonia, and was an urban planner with the City of Prince George until his retirement. His interests in historical geography led him to knowledge of heritage buildings in the city and of the settlement of the central interior of B.C., including the East Line and Giscome.

A cocktail reception at 6 p.m. will be followed by the lecture from 7 to 8 p.m. Admission is $10.
