Quesnel teen hit by car

A 16-year-old girl was struck by a light-coloured sport utility vehicle Jan. 11 at about 1 p.m. in Quesnel at the intersection of Carson Avenue and Front Street.

A 16-year-old girl was struck by a light-coloured sport utility vehicle Jan. 11 at about 1 p.m. in Quesnel at the intersection of Carson Avenue and Front Street.

The teen walked away from the accident but suffered whiplash, a concussion, swelling and laceration to the head.

The elderly Caucasian man wearing glasses in the SUV left the scene and proceeded east on Carson.

The collision was captured by nearby video surveillance footage, which indicates the presence of other vehicles and potential witnesses to this crash. Police would like to speak with the driver and anyone who may have seen the collision. Call the Quesnel RCMP at 250-992-9211 with any information.
