A suspect has been arrested and charged following a suspicious fire in Quesnel.
Bobby Gene Schilling, 39, remains in custody on one count each of arson in relation to inhabited property, arson causing damage to property, arson by negligence and theft $5,000 or under.
Police said Schilling was identified after emergency crews were called to 250 Anderson Drive in Quesnel where they found a home engulfed in flames.
Investigators determined the fire was an arson and had started at the back of the residence, police said. The theft count is in relation to a laptop and cash stolen from the home.
