Quesnel footbridge closed for renovation

Work on the Fraser River Footbridge in Quesnel began on Monday and the crossing bridge will close to pedestrian traffic until early April, according to the community's city hall.

Work on the Fraser River Footbridge in Quesnel began on Monday and the crossing bridge will close to pedestrian traffic until early April, according to the community's city hall.

Pedestrians are asked to use the Moffat Bridge, where emporary safety railing will be installed. Much of the decking as well as many of the truss members and metal connectors on the 80-year-old bridge will be replaced under a $2.2-million project.
