The identity of a deceased adult male is still a mystery even after an autopsy.

Quesnel RCMP located the human remains on Oct. 31 in a wooded area near Blair Street. They described the body's condition as skeletal, with no obvious signs of foul play.

"An autopsy was conducted in Prince George on [Friday] with the assistance of a forensic anthropologist and a forensic odontologist [dentistry]," said Quesnel RCMP Staff Sgt. Gary Clark-Marlow. "The deceased had been there for several years."

No missing persons cases in the Quesnel area fit the facts of this discovery, he added, and no clues as to the man's name were present.

Police are asking for the public to think about the description they can provide and contact them if anything familiar comes to mind.

The body is that ofa 45- to 60-year-old male, Caucasian or possibly of partially Aboriginal

heritage, about six feet tall with a slender build.

"He had extensive dental work," said

Clark-Marlow.

The man was clothed in a black and red Mackinaw-style wool jacket, a green hoody sweatshirt with a Mickey Mouse logo, a brown T-shirt with a "Griz" logo on it, blue jeans and running shoes.
