Jim Mann has a Push for a Plan and in partnership with the Alzheimer Society of B.C. wants to help make the disease a healthcare priority in the province.
To that end, those concerned are invited, at no charge, to hear Mann talk about his plan during a luncheon at the Ramada Hotel at noon ON Tuesday, April 16.
Mann, who was diagnosed with dementia in 2007, wants to improve the lives of British Columbians with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia, along with their families and caregivers.
This provincial campaign will be launched to help B.C. prepare and avert a crisis.
Alzheimer's disease and other dementias directly affect over 70,000 British Columbians. Hundreds of thousands of others including wives, husbands, sons and daughters are stepping up as caregivers. There is no cure. We need a comprehensive, funded dementia plan.
Come and hear Jim's ideas for a solution and lend your support for Jim's drive
for change.
The event is free and people can RSVP by April 10, 2013 at 1-800-667-3742 or email [email protected].
