The city is launching its core review process with a public meeting on Tuesday, May 15 at 7 p.m. in council chambers at city hall.

Mayor Shari Green will join with members of the KPMG team, contracted to conduct the core services review, to provide information and answer questions about the project.

In addition, the KPMG team will describe when and how members of the public can participate in the process.

The event will also be webcast on the city's website at www.princegeorge.ca

A core service review is typically conducted by an independent consultant to examine the services provided by government and offer recommendations concerning program/service mandates, opportunities for expense reduction and revenue diversification, and operational efficiency.

KPMG was awarded a $313,720 contract to carry out the review, which is scheduled to be completed by late October.
