Prince George area residents are reminded of an open public forum happening Wednesday to discuss the the aboriginal choice school being established by School District 57 which is slated to begin classes in September at Carney Hill elementary school.

Charlotte Henay, SD 57's aboriginal educational principal, said the forum is important for people to hear "a wide range of perspectives" regarding this new offering for Prince George

"We hope people will ask all their outstanding questions to receive accurate answers regarding such matters as community engagement, enrollment, curriculum and much more," said Henay

"We want it to be not just a unifying, but also a transparent, process for our community."

She said those attending the free forum, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Prince George Playhouse, will have the benefit of hearing the outlooks and views of a number of professionals who've been involved with successful aboriginal educational endeavors.
