Cautioning that he's waiting for further detail to come out in the weeks to follow, Prince George school board trustee Lyn Hall saw glimmers of hope Tuesday in the provincial government's budget as the district struggles to tackle a multi-million-dollar shortfall.

Hall pointed to three items that may help lower the burden, currently pegged at $7 million for 2010-11 and a further $4.3 million from 2010-11 to 2014-15 -- reinstatement of the annual facilities grant, funding of teacher salary increases and funding of full-day kindergarten.
