Province earmarks money for Ridley Terminal project

The provincial government will commit $15-million towards a $90-million expansion of the rail and utilities capacity at the Ridley Island terminal in Prince Rupert, Premier Christy Clark said Monday.

The provincial government will commit $15-million towards a $90-million expansion of the rail and utilities capacity at the Ridley Island terminal in Prince Rupert, Premier Christy Clark said Monday.

The project includes investments of $30 million from CN and $30 million from the Prince Rupert Port Authority. The federal government continues to work through its process to determine its participation with respect to the remaining $15 million.
