A man known to police as a prolific offender has been sentenced to three years in jail.
Jason Alexander Goodwin, 42, was issued the term in Prince George provincial court on Wednesday for an October 2011 break and enter of a 7600 Loyola Dr. home in College Heights.
Police said at the time of his arrest that the home's owner had come home for lunch when he noticed damage to one of the house's doors and then located a man in the process of removing computer items and electronic goods.
The man fled on a bicycle but was arrested a short time later.
Goodwin has an extensive criminal record and was in the Prince George RCMP's prolific offender list when he was apprehended. He continues to face charges from an alleged Sept. 16, 2011 break and enter.
