Charges have been approved against one of the two males who were the targets of a search by RCMP on Tuesday.

Kyle Anthony Yule, 27, faces one count each of theft $5,000 or under and willfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer and two counts of possession of stolen property.

Yule was arrested Tuesday after RCMP were called to the vicinity of Highway 97 and Monterey Road where two males were seen breaking into vehicles.

Both fled into a nearby wooded area, sparking a search with the aid of an RCMP airplane and a police service dog.

Yule, who police have described as a prolific offender, was apprehended and remains in custody but the other suspect remains at large.
