Amberlynn Louise Abraham was sentenced to two years probation Friday for assault in relation to a June 2013 incident at a house party that left another woman with 14 stab wounds. The term was issued in B.C. Supreme Court after Abraham was found not guilty of attempted murder, aggravated assault and assault with a weapon. Crown prosecution was unable to prove beyond reasonable doubt that Abraham participated directly in the actions that left the woman with the injuries.
However, Abraham was found guilty of assault and was also sentenced to one day in jail on the charge. Abraham had been in custody since December 2013 after violating her recognizance.
