Grace Dove, actor/director/producer, who grew up in Prince George and might be best known as Leo DiCaprio’s wife in The Revenant, will be starring in Alaska Daily, a television series we can watch on ABC and CTV starting Thursday right after Grey’s Anatomy.

The series was created by Tom McCarthy, who created the Best Picture Oscar-winning movie Spotlight.

Academy award winner Hilary Swank stars as the lead character, Eileen Fitzgerald, a recently disgraced reporter who moves away from her high-profile New York City lifestyle to join a daily newspaper in Alaska and she's got something to prove.

Along with Swank, the series stars Jeff Perry as her boss Stanley Cornik, the editor of the newspaper while Grace Dove plays Roz Friendly, a local reporter.

The series is about murdered and missing Indigenous women in Alaska and is partially filmed in B.C.

Editor Cornik puts Fitzgerald and Friendly together to get some answers about why these Indigenous women have gone missing.
