Prince George woman charged for attempted murder

A 38-year-old woman has been charged after an attempted murder on Sunday (Oct. 7).

Mounties in Prince George say in the early hours of Sunday morning, they responded to a report of a stabbing at a residence on McIntyre Crescent.

Officers attended and located an adult male, who appeared to be suffering from stab wounds. The victim was transported to hospital and is expected to survive. 

Sindy Pelletier has been charged with the following: 

  • Attempted murder
  • Aggravated assault
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Assault causing bodily harm
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Uttering threats

Police say this was an isolated incident and the victim and accused are known to each other. RCMP say alcohol was also a factor.

Pelletier is expected to make her first court appearance in Prince George Provincial Court later today (Oct. 9).
