Prince George to raise Canucks alumni flag for Commonwealth Cup Golf Tournament

The City of Prince George will be raising a special Vancouver Canucks Alumni flag on July 17 in celebration of the highly anticipated Commonwealth Cup Golf Tournament at Aberdeen Glen Golf Course.

Canucks Alumni Dennis Kearns, Eddie Hatoum, Gary Monahan, Ron Petrovicky and Richard Brodeur will be participating in the tournament.

“They have contributed so much to our community and this Flag Raising Ceremony is to honour the incredible work they do,” said tournament organizers.

Following the flag raising ceremony, the Commonwealth Cup Golf Tournament will kick off at Aberdeen Glen Golf Course on July 18 and  net proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society.

Golf enthusiasts and participants from all skill levels are invited to join this exciting tournament.

“The tournament will not only provide a fantastic opportunity for friendly competition and networking but will also support a noble cause,” said the organizers.  

Participants in the Commonwealth Cup Golf Tournament can expect a day filled with thrilling golfing action, camaraderie, and the chance to make a meaningful difference in their community.

The tournament will feature various contests, prizes, and a celebratory award ceremony to recognize outstanding performances.
